The MEILLER GmbH was pleased to welcome numerous guests of honor on the occasion of the groundbraking for the new MEILLER Austria headquarters. Franx Xaver Meiller emphasised the connection of the Munich-based, family-owned company with Austria and complimented the country, its politics and administration: “When it comes to administration of procedure we in Bavaria could learn a lot from you.” “If a global player such as MEILLER makes such an investment and concentrates its capacities in Lower Austria, that is a vote of confidence for the area’s business location”, Petra Bohuslav, the county commissioner gladly said when braking the ground.

Global Player combines its two premises in Oed-Öhling

In the Austrian MEILLER premises in Waidhofen/Ybbs and in Asten roughly 1,500 tippers are built every year. The turnover of the Austrian MEILLER subsidiaries amounts to approximately 33 million euros yearly, with an upward tendency. However, capacities of both premises are reaching their limits and the two premises, which are located 65 kilometres apart from each other, struggle with logistic challenges. Due to successful business developments and the aim of sustainable growth, an increase of production capacities is necessary. Therefore the managing board decided to liquidate both current premises and concentrate the overall production in one location.
