At the general meeting of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) in Berlin on 16 November 2018 the VDA management board unanimously confirmed Bernhard Mattes in his office as president of the VDA.

Dr. Daniel Böhmer, chairman of the board of F. X. MEILLER Fahrzeug- und Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co KG was confirmed in his office as vice president of the VDA. Dr. Böhmer has been active in the Association of the Automotive Industry since 2012 and has been vice president since 2016.

Furthermore, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, chairman of the board of management of the Daimler AG and Arndt G. Kirchhoff, managing partner of the Kirchhoff group, were also re-elected vice presidents.

Latest VDA board member is Bram Schott, interim chairman of the board of the Audi AG and member of the board sales and marketing.
